The lateral view of the cranium is dominated by temporal, sphenoid, and ethmoid bones.
The temporal bone forms the lower lateral side of the skull. The temporal bone is subdivided into several regions. The flattened upper portion is the squamous portion of the temporal bone. Background:

  • Osteomas are the most common benign tumors affecting the paranasal sinuses.
  • These tumors can occur at any age, with a noted male predominance.
  • Paranasal sinus osteomas can lead to symptoms such as nasal obstruction.

Observation:

  • A 54-year-old male presented with nasal obstruction.
  • Computed tomography revealed three osteomas, approximately 5 mm in size, within the ethmoid and frontal sinuses.
  • The patient had no history suggestive of Gardner's syndrome.

Findings:

  • The case presents multiple osteomas located in both the ethmoid sinuses and the right frontal sinus.
  • This specific distribution of multiple osteomas in these sinuses is, to our knowledge, unreported in the English literature.
  • The patient opted against surgical intervention.

Implications:

  • This case expands the known clinical presentations of paranasal sinus osteomas.
  • Highlights the importance of detailed radiological assessment for diagnosing multiple osteomas.
  • Further research may elucidate the etiology and optimal management of multiple sinus osteomas.
