Giant retroperitoneal pelvic hemangiopericytoma

• The retroperitoneal mass was diagnosed as a malignant hemangiopericytoma.
• Surgical excision of the large tumor was successfully performed.
• This represents the largest malignant hemangiopericytoma reported in the medical literature to date.

Implications:

• This case highlights the potential for extreme growth of malignant hemangiopericytomas.
• Successful surgical management of such large retroperitoneal tumors is feasible.
• Further research into the clinical and pathological features of large-volume hemangiopericytomas is warranted.
