Does vitamin E prevent gentamicin-induced ototoxicity?

Vitamin E did not protect against gentamicin-induced ototoxicity in a randomized trial. This study found no significant difference in hearing loss between patients receiving vitamin E and those receiving a placebo during gentamicin therapy.
