Background:

Liposarcoma, a rare soft tissue sarcoma, can be associated with paraneoplastic syndromes.
Reported paraneoplastic manifestations include Granulocyte-Colony Stimulating Factor production, alpha-fetoprotein elevation, paraneoplastic pemphigus, leucocytosis, and Bazex's syndrome.
Associations between liposarcoma and dermatological conditions are exceptionally uncommon.

Observation:

A 74-year-old male presented with a retroperitoneal mass and a two-year history of psoriasiform eruptions.
Imaging revealed a retroperitoneal pelvic mass, which was surgically resected.
Post-operatively, the patient's skin lesions resolved within seven days.

Findings:

The clinical presentation and resolution of skin lesions post-surgery strongly suggest small plaque parapsoriasis.

Histological examination of the cutaneous lesions was not specific.

The complete resolution of parapsoriasis following liposarcoma resection indicates a paraneoplastic relationship.

Implications:

This case suggests a potential paraneoplastic link between retroperitoneal liposarcoma and small plaque parapsoriasis.
The authors propose adding small plaque parapsoriasis to the spectrum of paraneoplastic syndromes associated with liposarcoma.
Further research is warranted to understand the mechanisms underlying this rare association and its clinical significance.
