The Predominantly Inattentive (PI) and Combined (CB) subtypes of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) are best distinguished by cognitive tempo and impulsivity, not specific neurocognitive systems. Neuropsychological tests did not reveal differences in attentional systems or arousal processes between subtypes.
