Summary
Surgical removal of benign cardiac tumors offers a safe and curative treatment with excellent outcomes. Malignant cardiac tumors, however, present a poor prognosis despite individualized management strategies.

- Minimally invasive right thoracotomy was used for 19 benign tumor resections, with no recurrence or late deaths observed in this group. Two early deaths occurred (3%).
- Malignant sarcomas had a poor prognosis with recurrent disease observed in two patients.

- Surgical excision, particularly using minimally invasive techniques, is a safe and curative treatment for benign cardiac tumors.
- Malignant cardiac tumors have a poor prognosis, necessitating further research into individualized treatment approaches.
