Abstract:
A series of novel N-glycosyl sulfonamides were prepared via Ferrier sulfonamidoglycosylation of D-glycals with good to high alpha-stereoselectivity. Two new glycosylsulfamides were tested as carbonic anhydrase (CA II) inhibitors and showed good properties in the micromolar range.
