A comparative evaluation of bracket bonding with 1-, 2-, and 3-component adhesive systems

One-component adhesives showed decreased shear bond strength compared to two- and three-component systems. However, with improvements, one-component adhesives can effectively compete in bracket bonding applications.

- One-component adhesives demonstrated reduced shear bond strength after thermocycling compared to multi-component systems.
- Further enhancements in one-component adhesive technology could enable them to successfully compete with traditional 2- and 3-component systems in orthodontics.
