Abstract:
Dependency and inner freedom hinge one upon the other. Adolescence is a turning point in life where the link between childhood and the discovery of new freedoms is forged. Partaking of alcohol is random and the tipping point towards alcohol abuse is dependent on many factors, some of which are psychic. When these factors are dominant and they tip the balance too heavily, psychoanalytic psychotherapy becomes a useful tool to avoid slipping into addiction.
