Summary

Platelet activating factor (PAF) plays a role in ovulation, as blocking its receptor reduced ovulatory efficiency in mice. However, PAF is not essential for the fertilization of eggs.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To assess the effect of a specific PAF receptor antagonist on ovulation and fertilization.
