Abstract:
Novel stimuli-responsive cyclodextrins (CDs), in which a disulfide unit was inserted into the rings of permethylated alpha- and beta-CDs, were synthesized. Their inclusion ability was controlled by the opening and closing of the ring based on dithiol-disulfide interconversions.
