[Methods of detecting polypeptides, nucleic acids and lipopolysaccharides with silver and gold stains]

The main modifications of the modern techniques for indication of polypeptides, nucleic acids and lipopolysaccharides using silver and gold staining are presented. The mechanisms for staining, sensitivity and reproducibility of the methods are evaluated.
