Endothelial dysfunction in type 2 diabetes: effect of antioxidants

Alpha-lipoic acid (LA) improves endothelial function and reduces oxidative stress in diabetic rats. This antioxidant may help prevent cardiovascular complications associated with diabetes and hyperlipidemia.
