Summary

Primary gastrointestinal lymphoma is common in males and presents with abdominal pain. Surgery combined with chemotherapy and radiotherapy offers good survival outcomes for these patients.

Main Results:

  • Gastric, small intestinal, and large intestinal lymphomas were identified in 9, 9, and 7 cases, respectively.
  • Abdominal pain and lump were the most common symptoms; male to female ratio was 2.6:1.
  • Complete remission was achieved in 66.6% of evaluable cases, with a 72.2% overall survival rate.

Conclusions:

  • Primary gastrointestinal lymphoma shares similarities with Western cases but shows some differences in incidence and subtypes.
  • Multimodality treatment including surgery, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy yields favorable survival.
  • Early-stage gastrointestinal MALTomas were treated with anti H-pylori therapy.
