Background:

Chondroid syringoma is a rare, benign skin adnexal tumor characterized by myxoid stroma and chondroid differentiation.
Incidence is less than 0.01% of primary skin tumors, predominantly affecting adult males in the head and neck region.
Histopathologic examination is crucial for accurate diagnosis.

Observation:

This case report presents the first documented instance of chondroid syringoma in a pediatric patient.
The tumor occurred in a child, a demographic not previously reported in English literature.
Diagnosis was confirmed through histopathologic analysis.

Findings:

The occurrence of chondroid syringoma in a child is exceedingly rare.
This finding challenges the typical demographic profile of this tumor.
Histopathological features confirmed the diagnosis in the pediatric patient.

Implications:

This case expands the known clinical spectrum of chondroid syringoma.
It highlights the importance of considering rare diagnoses in pediatric skin lesions.
Further research may elucidate potential unique characteristics or etiologies in pediatric cases.
