Augmented epithelial endothelin-1 expression in refractory asthma.

Severe refractory asthma is linked to increased endothelin-1 (EDN1) in bronchial epithelium, correlating with airway remodeling and reduced lung function. Targeting EDN1 may offer a new treatment approach for this condition.
