Amoxapine as an antipsychotic: comparative study versus haloperidol

Amoxapine demonstrated antipsychotic efficacy comparable to haloperidol in schizophrenia patients. However, it did not show a significant reduction in extrapyramidal side effects, contrary to initial hypotheses.
