Summary

Latex agglutination tests are highly effective for detecting Neisseria meningitidis (M. meningitis) in cerebrospinal fluid, identifying more positive cases than Gram staining or culture. All identified strains were sensitive to common antibiotics, with one exception noted for penicillin.
