Summary

Curcumin treatment significantly reduced necrosis progression in burn injuries. Oral curcumin therapy in rats decreased the conversion of ischemic skin to full necrosis after burns.

  • Animals received oral curcumin or vehicle before and after injury, with necrosis assessed visually and histologically.
