This case involves a 56-year-old male who died by suicide using a non-standard, homemade firearm.

The firearm was custom-made to fire 8 mm rifle ammunition.
The weapon's barrel dimensions were oversized for the bullet caliber, leading to a swollen cartridge case and a deformed, elongated projectile.
The victim sustained a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the right side of the skull.

Findings:

Immediate post-discharge fatality occurred.
The injury track and projectile characteristics were unusual due to the firearm's non-standard construction.
Ballistic analysis revealed discrepancies between the firearm's bore and the ammunition used.

Implications:

This case highlights the importance of thorough forensic examination of homemade firearms in suicide investigations.
Findings provide valuable data for medicolegal experts and forensic scientists in similar unusual cases.
