[Alternative intervention with homeless people : the experience of the Centre Saint-Pierre.]
Abstract:
This article describes the evolution of an experience of a community organization working with homeless people. The intervention in this project focuses on a pedagogy aiming at helping homeless people define a life project. Because many of them are confronted with factors limiting their social integration such as problems of mental health, the promoters of the project defined a complimentary service. This article presents a discussion of the collaboration between university researchers and those initiating the service to define this new intervention. In conclusion, the article raises the issue of collective learning and puts forward several key stakes on the generalization of this initiative that was brought forward by the Centre St-Pierre Apotre de Montreal.
