WS/PIDS: standard interoperable PIDS in web services environments

This study introduces WS/PIDS, a new Web Services (WS) standard for consistent identity management in electronic health records. It enhances the Person Identification Service (PIDS) with multimedia support for improved healthcare data interoperability.
