Purpose of the Study:

To assess the effectiveness of a lecture-based intervention on resident behavior.
To evaluate resident compliance with alcohol screening protocols in trauma admissions.

Prospective analysis of resident behavior change.
A 1-hour lecture on alcohol disuse syndrome screening was delivered.
Compliance was measured at baseline, 1 month, 3 months, and 12 months post-intervention.

Resident compliance with alcohol screening increased significantly.
