Summary

Bone remodeling involves the coordinated actions of osteoclasts and osteoblasts. This process is regulated by cytokines produced by immune and bone cells. These cytokines influence the local environment of remodeling cells. Some growth factors are stored in the noncollagenous bone matrix and are released during resorption. These factors may influence bone remodeling processes. The study suggests that cytokine interactions are important for maintaining the balance between resorption and formation. Imbalances in these interactions may lead to bone loss disorders. The findings highlight the role of cytokines and growth factors in bone remodeling.
