Methods, means and results of computer X-ray tomographers image monitoring

The problems discussed are solved with the help of monitoring the main parameters of the X-ray computer tomographers image. The technique of determining these parameters is outlined. The phanthom's design is described when used for monitoring, including an original solid phanthom for monitoring the low contrast resolution with the contrast between the inserts and the surrounding material independent of the value of the high tension on the X-ray emitter. The results of comparative tests are given of various versions of computer tomographers being used in Soviet medical institutions. In order to compare the image parameters of different versions the tests have been carried out under the same methods in the same conditions with similar phanthoms. The possibility is discussed of using the results of comparative tests obtained.
