Complex fractionated electrogram distribution and temporal stability in patients undergoing atrial fibrillation

Complex fractionated electrograms (CFEs) are key targets for atrial fibrillation (AF) ablation. This study found CFEs are stable and consistently located near pulmonary veins (PVs) and the left atrial appendage during AF.

- CFE mapping demonstrates significant temporal stability over approximately 30 minutes.
- These findings support the role of CFEs as stable targets for AF catheter ablation.
