Trochanteric bursitis: refuting the myth of inflammation

Histologic evaluation of trochanteric pain syndrome suggests bursal inflammation is not the cause. This study found no signs of inflammation in bursal tissue, challenging the traditional understanding of greater trochanteric pain.

Background:
