Summary

Interleukin-6 (IL-6) and soluble IL-2 receptor (sIL-2R) levels correlate with parasitic density in cerebral malaria patients. IL-6 may serve as a prognostic factor, similar to Tumor Necrosis Factor alpha (TNFa).
