Abstract:
Two patients were studied for symptoms suggestive of peptic ulcer. At surgery a gastric carcinoid that had been missed by previous radiologic and endoscopic studies was found in one patient. A double carcinoid lesion of the gastric fundus, previously misdiagnosed as carcinoma, was found in the other patient. Total gastric resection led to complete recovery in both patients.
