Does staging computered tomography change management in thick malignant melanoma?

Summary

Computed tomography (CT) staging for malignant melanoma (MM) is not routinely recommended unless patients show symptoms of metastatic disease. If symptoms are present, CT staging of AJCC IIB/C melanoma should include head imaging alongside chest, abdomen, and pelvis scans.
