Abstract:
All information is now created, handled, stored and often used in digital form: we observe a formidable growth in the volume of data created, transmitted and archived. However, the obsolescence of technologies and the lack of appropriate organisation lead to a spectacular vulnerability to time after 5-10 years. Every sector of activity in today's society is concerned, public and private organizations, scientific research, etc. The ISO standard Reference Model for an Open Archival information System provides us with a high level of understanding of the problem to solve. This Model is essential for the emergence of practical solutions.
