Correcting impacted mandibular second molars can be challenging. A miniplate anchorage system effectively uprighted an impacted mandibular right second molar with predictable, quick results and minimal side effects.

Mandibular second molar impactions present significant orthodontic challenges.
Surgical intervention is often necessary for complex impactions.

Observation:

A case study involved a young male patient with a mandibular right second molar impaction.
Treatment utilized a miniplate as a temporary anchorage device.

Findings:

The miniplate provided stable anchorage to facilitate tooth uprighting.
The technique proved to be predictable and efficient.
Minimal adverse effects were observed during treatment.

Implications:

Miniplate anchorage offers a viable alternative for managing impacted mandibular second molars.
