Area of Science:

  • Pediatric Thoracic Surgery
  • Surgical Oncology
  • Craniofacial Surgery

Background:

  • Traditional cervicothoracic junction surgeries via cervicotomy or thoracotomy offer limited control of critical vasculonervous structures.
  • The cervicothoracic region presents unique surgical challenges due to complex anatomy and proximity to vital structures.

Observation:

  • A modified

Findings:

  • The modified

Implications:

  • This modified approach offers a low-morbidity solution for complex pediatric cervicothoracic pathologies.
  • Preservation of clavicular integrity and shoulder function are key advantages of this technique.
