Abstract:
Total knee arthroplasty (TKA) was evaluated in 256 consecutive knees in a Veterans Administration hospital. Patient satisfaction and the effect of intercurrent illness were studied in addition to standard clinical and roentgenographic parameters. Evaluation of results show the superiority of condylar knee designs. In general, TKA was successful with a high degree of patient satisfaction.
