[Clinico-hemostatic features in premature infants with hypertensive hydrocephalic syndrome]
Insights
This study examined hemostasis indicators in premature infants with hypertensive hydrocephalic syndrome. Findings reveal a connection between coagulation status and infant maturity, age, and disease severity.
Area of Science:
- Neonatal Medicine
- Pediatric Hematology
Context:
- Hypertensive hydrocephalic syndrome is a critical condition in neonates.
- Hemostasis plays a vital role in infant health and development.
Purpose:
- To investigate hemostasis indicators in premature infants with hypertensive hydrocephalic syndrome.
- To explore correlations between coagulation parameters and clinical factors.
Summary:
- Analyzed hemostasis in 42 premature infants under one year old.
- Established a relationship between coagulogram results and birth maturity, age, and initial disease severity.
Impact:
- Provides insights into coagulation abnormalities in premature infants with this syndrome.
- May inform clinical management and risk assessment for affected neonates.
Abstract:
The authors relate the results of studying certain indicators of hemostasis in 42 premature children of the first year of life seen for the hypertensive hydrocephalic syndrome at the Neonatality Center. A relationship has been discovered between the coagulogram and the degree of the child's maturity at birth, the age, and initial disease.
