Mohs micrographic surgery (MMS) shows significantly lower recurrence rates for dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP) compared to wide local excision (WLE). Pooled data confirm MMS as a more effective treatment for DFSP, particularly for head and neck tumors.
