  • A case study involving an elderly hypertensive patient with advanced atherosclerosis.
  • The patient presented with multiple atherosclerotic peripheral renal arteries.

  • Peripheral renal artery stenosis can lead to ischemic nephropathy.
  • This finding challenges the traditional view of main trunk stenosis being the sole cause.
