Abstract:
A new catheter has been developed for bladder drainage following operations on the prostate or bladder. Instead of having 1 to 3 large holes at the tip, as in common catheters, it has 32 drainage holes, each 1.5 mm in diameter. Thus, unhindered drainage of the bladder is guaranteed even if the majority of the holes is obstructed.
