Event related potentials in hypothyroidism.

Thyroid hormone deficiency, or hypothyroidism, impairs central nervous system (CNS) function. Event-related potentials (ERPs) reveal prolonged cognitive processing times in hypothyroid patients, indicating early CNS changes.
