Inflammatory markers and cognitive function in middle-aged adults: the Whitehall II study

In middle-aged adults, elevated levels of C-reactive protein (CRP) and interleukin-6 (IL-6) are linked to lower cognitive performance. However, these inflammatory markers show little association with cognitive decline over time.
