Abstract:
The diagnosis of subclinical suppuration in operative wounds after removal of drainage tubes can be established after ultrasonic investigation of the wound. The ultrasound findings permit control of postoperative purulent complications by taking therapeutic measures to evacuate suppurative wound contents.
