A novel lab-at-valve (LAV) system automates on-line liquid-liquid micro-extraction using sequential injection analysis (SIA). This micro-scale approach efficiently extracts and analyzes compounds like diphenhydramine hydrochloride in pharmaceuticals and surfactants in water.
