Predicting ischaemic stroke subtype from presenting systolic blood pressure: the BASIC Project

Low systolic blood pressure (SBP) at presentation is linked to cardioembolic stroke, a type of ischemic stroke. Increased suspicion for this stroke subtype is warranted in patients with lower SBP.
