Purpose of the Study:

  • To develop and validate an automated system for documenting airway management performance.
  • To enable self-assessment in the absence of a human trainer.
  • To store and transmit data for skill acquisition and maintenance tracking.

  • Utilized video and pressure inputs to capture resuscitation task performance on a manikin.
  • Assessed accuracy, adequacy, and time for bag-valve-mask ventilation (BVM), endotracheal intubation, and endotracheal tube (ETT) ventilation.
  • 12 participants completed 5 repetitions of each of the 3 critical tasks.
