Summary

Audiovestibular tests like auditory brain stem response (ABR) and vestibular-evoked myogenic potential (VEMP) predict hearing recovery in severe sudden sensorineural hearing loss (SSHL). Vertigo indicates a worse prognosis in profound SSHL.
