Developing new therapies for Parkinson's disease (PD) is challenging due to the slow aggregation of alpha-synuclein into amyloid fibrils. This study shows ionic liquids can efficiently stimulate alpha-synuclein amyloid formation, offering a potential therapeutic development pathway.
