Abstract:

Late follow-up results of gastric shunting operation, performed in 45 patients for morbid superobesity, were studied. The main complications were analyzed, the influence of the operations on concurrent diseases course and principal indices of KEY carbohydrate, lipid, protein and electrolyte metabolism was studied.
