Optimization of budesonide compression-coated tablets for colonic delivery

Compression-coated budesonide tablets using pectin demonstrated targeted colonic delivery for inflammatory bowel disease treatment. This formulation significantly reduced inflammation and myeloperoxidase activity in a rabbit colitis model.
