Evaluation of baroreflex function in young spontaneously hypertensive rats

This study found that 13-week-old spontaneously hypertensive rats exhibit impaired baroreflex function. This reduction in baroreflex sensitivity was specifically observed when using phenylephrine to test their cardiovascular response.
