Spironolactone in chronic hemodialysis patients improves cardiac function

Low-dose spironolactone significantly improved cardiac function and reduced left ventricular mass in hemodialysis patients with heart failure. This treatment did not increase the risk of hyperkalemia, offering a potential new therapy.
